Not necessarily. We offer beginner-friendly options and help you
choose based on fitness, season, and travel time. If you're new
to trekking, we'll suggest a shorter, well-supported route and
give you a detailed preparation guide to get you ready.

Common questions
Everything you may want to know before booking.
Typically: trek guide, meals on trail (breakfast, lunch, dinner),
stays (camp or homestay), permits, and basic safety support.
Inclusions vary by route — we'll confirm everything in writing
before you pay, with a clear list of what's included and what isn't.
Yes. We rent essentials like down jackets, sleeping bags, trekking poles,
gaiters, and backpacks. Tell us your dates and sizes and we'll reserve
everything in advance. Gear is sanitized and checked before each rental.
Absolutely. Share your preferred region, dates, and comfort level —
we'll tailor the itinerary, group size, and pricing. Custom trips
work well for corporate outings, college groups, families, and
friends who want a route designed around their pace.
There are three main windows: March–June for clear skies, wildflowers,
and pre-summer weather; September–November for stable conditions,
crisp air, and excellent visibility; December–February for snow treks
like Kedarkantha. The monsoon season (July–August) sees heavy rainfall
and is generally avoided for most routes.
We take an advance (usually 25–30%) to confirm your booking, with
the remaining balance due 7–10 days before the trek date. We accept
bank transfers, UPI, and other standard payment methods. You'll
receive a written confirmation once the advance is received.
Cancellations made 15+ days before the trek are refunded minus a
small processing fee. Cancellations within 7–14 days may result
in partial forfeiture of the advance. We'll always try to reschedule
you to a different date wherever possible. Full terms are shared
with your booking confirmation.
We send a detailed packing list specific to your route and season
after you book. In general: layered clothing (base, mid, outer),
sturdy trekking shoes, a daypack, personal medication, sunscreen,
and basic toiletries. For snow treks, warm gloves, a balaclava,
and gaiters are important. We'll cover everything you might need
to rent versus buy.
Yes — solo travelers are welcome on all our group departures.
We also assist with roommate matching where possible, and make
sure solo travelers feel comfortable and connected from day one.
Many of our best groups are made up of solo travelers who arrive
as strangers and leave as friends.
All our trek leaders carry a first-aid kit and are trained in
high-altitude medical response including AMS (Acute Mountain Sickness)
recognition. We carry a pulse oximeter on all treks, and have
evacuation protocols in place. In the case of serious altitude
illness, we descend immediately and arrange transport to the
nearest medical facility.
